The UN has pursued post conflict needs assessment programmes in locations as diverse as Afghanistan, East Timor and Somalia. The Grimshaw Club is pleased to invite you to a lecture with Louise Cottar, a UN expert in this important but overlooked feild.

Born in England, Louise first went to Africa in 1989, visiting Kenya while studying for a degree in International Business. After Completing both her undergraduate and masters degrees, and after working in Europe, Louise returned in 1994 to worrk as the coordinator of a UN program in Somalia. Thrown in at Africa's 'deep end', Louise spent close to four years in one of the most dangerous countries to live and work, earning a reputation for excelling while taking adventurous and calculated risks.
